The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, met this Friday in Turkey with the high representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), Miguel Ángel Moratinos, to whom he ratified Venezuela’s commitment to actively contribute in the eforts for a more just, peaceful, prosperous and equitable multipolar and multicenter world.
Both authorities coincide in the Eurasian country to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, which brings together representatives of countries from various continents and multilateral organizations, from June 18 to Sunday, June 20, with the aim of strengthening international diplomacy.
In recent years, Venezuela has raised the flag of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace in different international forums and internally, through a sustained effort to promote dialogue and tolerance with sectors of the political opposition.
On September 29, 2020, during his speech at the High Level Meeting of the Group of Friends of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, entitled Shaping a Better World: Cohesionate and Inclusive Societies in a Challenging COVID-19 Environment , Foreign Minister Arreaza stressed that Venezuela is joining this initiative to defend diversity and the right to tolerance, in order to guarantee peace.
