On Thursday, Foreign Vice-minister for Africa Yuti Pimentel held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Venezuela, Gaouthi Benmoussat to review the bilateral, multilateral relations between their countries.
At the meeting, they also reviewed agreements in the political, commercial, economic, energy and cultural areas.
Venezuela and Algeria established diplomatic relations on March 23, 1971, but their bilateral ties have become more dynamic since 2000, when they started strengthening their relation through official visits, presidential meetings and exchanges, and other high-level cultural and technical meetings.
