Venezuela participates in Meeting of Ministers of Tourism of the Americas in Dominican Republic

A delegation headed by the Minister of People’s Power for Tourism, Alí Padrón Paredes, participates in the Meeting of Ministers of Tourism of the Americas, held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from Friday, May 7 to Sunday, May 9.

The meeting, organized by the World Tourism Organization and the Ministry for Tourism of the Dominican Republic, establishes strategies to relaunch tourism activities throughout the continent.

The Venezuelan delegation will present the progress made in tourism by the Bolivarian Government regarding measures that have been implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The country brand “Venezuela open to the future” will also be presented to the world’s tourism representatives. The strategy “Country Brand – Venezuela open to the future” is a project that praises Venezuela as a multi-destination country.

The Venezuelan tourism minister’s mission is to position the Caribbean nation through the reactivation of tourism promotional, economic and commercial activities.

The Meeting of Ministers of Tourism of the Americas will be attended by delegations from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and Mexico, among other countries of the continent.
