On Friday, the Foreign Vice-minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Capaya Rodríguez, met with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Viet Duyen, to exchange opinions on issues of common interest.
The meeting took place under a cordial atmosphere and, in addition to other important issues, the two authorities reaffirmed their will to work in close coordination to organize a forthcoming visit of Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza to Vietnam and advance talks to hold the 4th Venezuela-Vietnam High Level Joint Commission.
The high-ranking diplomats reviewed the pending cooperation agenda in areas such as politics, agriculture, energy trade and investments, as well as Vietnam’s participation in Venezuela’s International Book Fair (FILVEN 2021) as Guest of Honor to set up a roadmap aimed at improving bilateral relations to a higher level.
Foreign Vice-minister Rodríguez highlighted the intense agenda followed by Ambassador Le Viet Duyenin in the last months which included meetings with ministers and visits to some states to check on the ground the many possibilities of multisectoral cooperation offered by Venezuela for joint development.
