This Thursday, in the spaces of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, the Vice-minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Capaya Rodríguez, held a working meeting with the ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ri Sung Gil, in which they highlighted issues of bilateral interest and cooperation.
In this sense, both diplomats addressed the current issue of the United States, highlighting that the new administration of the White House seemed to have a less aggressive style than the previous one, however, in the first 100 days of the Biden government, it showed its true face, keeping its hostile policy of siege and imposition of Unilateral Coercive Measures against democratic and free governments that seek their own path of development.
Both authorities reiterated their commitment to continue diversifying the political relations between parties and the respective National Assemblies of both nations, in addition to address the cooperation in the agriculture, oil, sports, communication and information sectors.
Finally, both governments expressed their willingness to rely on the different multilateral mechanisms within the United Nations to contribute for the construction of a more inclusive and peaceful multipolar system.
