On Tuesday, April 6, the Minister of People’s Power for Tourism, Alí Padrón, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, and the Vice-minister for International Tourism, Leticia Gómez, to assess joint plans in Venezuelan territory.
This meeting facilitates the progress and negotiations for investments, promotion and commercialization of agreements endorsed to move forward with tourism amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The authorities discussed their interest in endorsing a Cooperation Bilateral Program and agreed to design plans to promote Venezuela’s nature-based tourism and beach destinations as a strategy to increase the flow of tourists and the interest of Turkish investors, with the advantage of the excellent air connectivity between Venezuela and Turkey and the opportunity to connect with Asian and European markets.
Venezuela is a country with many opportunities to consolidate new trends in tourism. Therefore, these meetings serve to coordinate strategies and strengthen the existing relation with the Turkish Government and opportunities of investment in this sector.
