Venezuela’s Executive Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez held on Tuesday an important meeting with the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean of the Kingdom of Spain, Cristina Gallach Figueras, on the 176th anniversary of Venezuela-Spain diplomatic relations.
At the meeting, the authorities highlighted their countries’ condition as sovereign, free, independent States, and reviewed bilateral relations seeking to restore the level of cooperation between their countries.
Gallach Figueras was accompanied by Spain’s Chargé d’ Affaires to Venezuela Juan Fernández Trigo and the Director General for Ibero-America and the Caribbean Rafael Garranzo Garcia.
The Spanish diplomat arrived on Sunday in Venezuela after a tour in Central America. Her agenda will be centered on Venezuela’s humanitarian response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the support for the national dialogue process fostered by President Nicolás Maduro.
