Venezuela’s Vice-minister for Multilateral Affairs, Daniela Rodríguez, held a meeting on Tuesday with the Permanent Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Alexis Bonte, to assess multilateral cooperation and its importance to the South American country.
Likewise, they reviewed the schedule of global multilateral events associated with food and agriculture, and assessed the capacity of the Venezuelan people to guarantee their food security and sovereignty.
Noteworthily, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza received the credentials from the FAO representative last December.
At the event, Arreaza explained that FAO can help Venezuela produce higher yields and more efficiently to take care of the most vulnerable population and improve agricultural practices in the food production system.
