Venezuela maintains the supply of oxygen to address the health crisis in the Brazilian states of Amazonas and Roraima

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela continues to deliver oxygen to address the health crisis derived from the COVID-19 pandemic in the Brazilian states of Amazonas and Roraima, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, reported this Friday.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, through his Twitter account @jaarreaza, made a special recognition to the workers of the Sidor oxygen plant, a basic company of the Venezuelan State located in Ciudad Guayana, in the south of the country, for their dedication and effort.

Solidarity! From Venezuela 🇻🇪 we keep the supply of oxygen to attend the health crisis in the Amazon and Roraima states of Brazil 🇧🇷. A special recognition to the workers of the SIDOR oxygen plant in Ciudad Guayana, for their dedication and effort.

In a first shipment, last January, Venezuela provided approximately 130,000 liters of oxygen to supply hospitals in the city of Manaus.

The Venezuelan Government also formed a contingent of 107 Brazilian and Venezuelan doctors, graduated from the Salvador Allende Latin American School of Medicine, in Caracas, to help fight the pandemic in the Amazon.

The national authorities have ratified their full willingness to contribute with the sister Federative Republic of Brazil in its fight against COVID-19.
