At the invitation of the Venezuelan Government initially addressed to her predecessor, the UN Special Rapporteur will visit the South American country to compile information on the negative impact of the unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights in Venezuela.

In her visit, the UN expert will hold meetings with the Venezuelan authorities and representatives from different sectors of the Venezuelan society, the UN System and the Diplomatic Corps.

This coordination meeting was attended by delegates of Venezuela’s Public Powers, Vice-presidents, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and other authorities.
