The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and the Bolivarian Government, expresses his deep concern and absolute solidarity with the brotherly Peoples and Governments of the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the earthquake that took place on February 23 on the Turkish-Iranian border.
In the face of this tragedy, we mourn the human losses and express our words of support and hope for the speedy recovery of the injured. We also express our wish for safe return of the members of the search and rescue teams and for the prompt material reconstruction of the affected localities in both countries.
