The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, on Monday praised the leadership and resistance of Bolivian leader Evo Morales, whom he considered the father of the entire process that led to the recovery of democracy in the South American sisterly country, with the triumph of Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca as president and Vice-president, respectively, in the elections on October 18.
From the headquarters of the Diplomatic Mission of Venezuela in La Paz, recovered this Monday by the Bolivarian Government, the Foreign Minister highlighted the tireless work carried out by the Indian Chief of the South from his exile in Mexico and Argentina, “studying, talking with the unions, with social and indigenous movements, with mining workers, designing the strategy. Without Evo’s leadership we wouldn’t have gotten this far either.”
He expressed that Venezuela pays perpetual love and homage to former President Morales, “we pay him as a great historical leader of this cultural revolution”, while he asked Bolivians to take care of him because he represents too much for the peoples of Our America.
Evo Morales, of Aymara origin and the first indigenous president of the Andean nation, ruled Bolivia from 2006 to 2019, when a coup led by the Organization of American States (OAS), following the mandate of the United States Government, in collusion with the national right stripped him of his position.
