Venezuelan State delivers report “The Truth of Venezuela” to 5 diplomatic representations accredited in the country

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza; the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab; and the Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz, delivered on Monday the Report The Truth of Venezuela against Infamy. Data and testimonies of a country under siege, to diplomatic representatives of the European Union, Turkey, South Africa, Russia and China, accredited in the country.

At the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, located in Caracas, the Venezuelan authorities received the ambassador of the European Union in the South American nation, Isabel Brilhante; as well as the ambassadors of Turkey, Şevki Mütevellioğlu; South Africa, Joseph Nkosi; China, Li Baorong; and the charge d’affaires of the Russian Embassy, ​​Alexey Seredin; to deliver this document that dismantles the report prepared by alleged “experts” paid to defame Venezuela.

The Head of Venezuelan diplomacy pointed out that Turkey, China, Russia and South Africa are important multilateral poles “that are well aware of this history of sanctions for alleged human rights violations to attack them in their political and social stability”, for which he recalled that South Africa lived through the apartheid and systematic violation of their human rights “until Nelson Mandela managed to recover the government and true democracy for the majority in that nation.”

The Foreign Minister assured that Venezuela will continue to preserve human rights, through its institutions will keep on the fight against impunity so that justice may prevail, and will denounce the permanent aggression with “unilateral coercive measures (…) that are the main source of violation of Human Rights in Venezuela, imposed by the Government of the United States, the ruling elite of that country against our people, so we can have no gasoline, food, medicine, neither imported nor produced, in order to affect public services”.

Terrorist acts violate human rights

For his part, the prosecutor Tarek William Saab highlighted that the terrorist attacks of which the Government and the Venezuelan people have been the victim, such as the attempted assassination against President Nicolás Maduro, the attempted coup and the unsuccessful mercenary incursion into the country, must be taken as actions that violate human rights.

“Any terrorist action by a paramilitary group can be classified as a violation of human rights (…) If an armed group is criminally organized to seize power and commits acts of a terrorist nature, where they kill innocents, where they burn goods, where they promote riots to assassinate, they are violators of human rights”, he stressed.

He denounced the use of the victims of human rights violations, by NGOs at the service of the world right, which “based on lies and manipulation, damage the issue itself, the country and the victims themselves.”

Solidarity with Venezuela

The diplomatic dlegations accredited in the country, which received the Report The Truth of Venezuela against Infamy. Data and testimonies of a country under siege, showed their solidarity with the South American nation and condemned the politicization of the issue of human rights to attack the people.

In this regard, the Chinese ambassador, Li Baorong, stressed that “in today’s world the peoples must unite to be victorious in this tough battle. Both nations have called to ensure the safety of life and health of the people. We are sure that Venezuela will continue to maintain peace, stability and development for the benefit of the people”.

Meanwhile, Russia’s charge d’affaires, Alexey Seredin, reported that his country welcomes Venezuela’s efforts in defense of human rights and the preparation of timely and concrete reports on the issue, in which both governments will continue to raise their voices in different international stages.

The Turkish ambassador, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, stressed for his part that his country “is very sensitive to the issue of human rights violations”, so his government follows “with great attention and care what is happening in Venezuela. We are against sanctions and against any military and foreign intervention. From Turkey we are sure that the future of Venezuela must be solved by Venezuelans.”

Finally, the South African ambassador, Joseph Nkosi, expressed that his government “rejects everything that has to do with the violation of human rights; as a nation we have suffered violations of this type and we know this process. The people and government of Venezuela can be sure that they will have the support of South Africa.”
