The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan people, expresses his deep regret at the tragic plane crash that occurred this Wednesday, January 8 th , 2020, in which the Boeing 737 of Ukraine International Airlines which was bound to the city of Kyiv, crashed after taking off from Imam Khomeini International Airport, located in the city of Teheran, Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Government and the People of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela send their deepest condolences and fraternal solidarity to the Peoples and Governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ukrainian People’s Republic, as well as to the families of the victims of various nationalities, and we pray for their eternal rest.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates its desire for the tranquility and peace of people of Iran and Ukraine.
