As part of an official visit to the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza held a fraternal meeting on Saturday with former President and indigenous leader Evo Morales in Cochabamba.
“We met with brother Evo Morales. We gave him the sincere hug of the Venezuelan people and his brother Nicolás Maduro,” wrote Arreaza on his Twitter account @jaarreaza.
At the meeting, Arreaza and Morales discussed the defense of the Mother Earth, the South American integration promoted by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) and the recent return of the people’s democracy to Bolivia.
Foreign Minister Arreaza visited Bolivia to attend “Reencuentro con la Pachamama,” an event organized on Earth Day in La Paz that gathered authorities, activists, academicians and intellectuals from different regions of the world.
