Executive Vice President: The supposed humanitarian aid corresponds to only 6% of what the National Government gives daily

This Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, indicated that the supposed humanitarian aid offered by the United States government to Venezuela, corresponds to just 6% of food delivered per day by the Bolivarian Government through the Local Committees of Supply and Production (Clap). The Vice President, pointed out, that approximately 298,609 Clap boxes are delivered each day equivalent to 4,479 metric tons and 149 bags a day. In the same way, Rodríguez mentioned that in 2018, 119 million 822,921 Clap boxes were delivered, which would total 1 million 797,343 metric tons of food, equivalent to 60,000 cargo trucks. «This fake Humanitarian aid only seeks to ridicule what the very mechanisms of humanitarian aid are for those countries that have had natural calamities, or for those countries that have an internal armed conflict, and therefore the application of international humanitarian law is applicable». She stressed that this international attention procedure has very specific characteristics, which must be carried out «within the framework of the United Nations, in strict application of the law, which says that it must be neutral, impartial, that it should not have a political objective, as in this case, that it seeks the overthrow of the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro». She emphasized that the United States intends to mount a media show to justify a military intervention against Venezuela.
