El vicesecretario general del Partido Socialista de Zambia y candidato para las elecciones presidenciales de 2021, Fred M´membe, se solidarizó con el presidente de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, tras el atentado magnicida contra el mandatario el pasado 4 de agosto.
“Estamos conmocionados y molestos hoy por el salvaje atentado para asesinar al presidente revolucionario de Venezuela Nicolás Maduro”, expresó el líder político mediante un comunicado.

Comunicado 04 de agosto del 2018. Lusaka, Zambia Dr. Fred M´membe, Vice Secretario General del Partido Socialista de Zambia y candidato del partido para las presidenciales del 2021, sobre el atentado terrorista para asesinar al Presidente de Venezuela Nicolás Maduro.
Estamos conmocionados y molestos hoy por el salvaje atentado para asesinar al presidente revolucionario de Venezuela Nicolás Maduro.
Estamos horrorizados por este horrendo ataque terrorista que ha dejado siete venezolanos heridos. Nuestros pensamientos están con estos venezolanos heridos, sus familiares y amigos.
Estamos seguros que los revolucionarios venezolanos nunca dejarán ganar a estos terroristas, y nunca serán intimidados por ataques terroristas. Cualquier gobierno y organización que apoye acciones terroristas como esta es cómplice en el intento de asesinar al Presidente Maduro y herir gente inocente, e igualmente culpable de crímenes terroristas.
Hoy, todos los revolucionarios y gente de bien estamos unidos para apoyar al Presidente Maduro y la determinación y valentía de los revolucionarios venezolanos.
Apoyamos y nos solidarizamos absolutamente con el Presidente Maduro y los revolucionarios venezolanos.
Tenemos que redoblar nuestra lucha, y vencer la ideología que alimenta estos ataques terroristas.

We are shocked and angry today by the barbaric attempt at killing the revolutionary Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro. We are horrified by this horrendous terrorist attack that has left seven Venezuelans injured. Our thoughts are with these injured Venezuelans, their families and friends. We are confident the Venezuelan revolutionaries will never let these terrorists win, and will never be cowed by terrorist attacks. Any government or organisation that supports terrorist actions like this is complicit in the attempt to murder President Maduro and injure innocent people and is equally guilty of terrorist crimes. Today, all revolutionaries and people of good will are united beyond all borders in support of President Maduro and Venezuelan revolutionaries’ courage and determination. We stand in absolute solidarity with President Maduro and Venezuelan revolutionaries. We all have to step up the struggle against, and defeat, the ideology that fuels such terrorist attacks.
