Venezuela rejects interventionist attitude of the French government

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its strongest rejection to the interventionist and interfering attitude of the Government of the French Republic, by offering its support to the biased initiative of a group of governments subordinated to the United States government, which seeks to use international bodies with the purpose of attacking Venezuela and causing a change of government by force. Venezuela deems as an act of flagrant hypocrisy that the French government expresses concern for the Venezuelan migration, when that country is coresponsible for dramatic and inhuman migratory flows from Africa, which they refuse to assist and receive. Attacking Venezuela with populist purposes as a mechanism to improve the discredited image of President Macron and his government is similar to the best racist style of the French extreme right. Venezuela and France share historical, social, economic, political and cultural bonds, nurtured with respect and cooperation throughout the years. The arrogant attitude of the French government negatively impacts the good relations that both countries have had for decades. Today, Venezuelans face the consequences of a brutal unilateral blockade imposed by the United States, regrettably sponsored by the European Union. This new show of interventionism by the French government is another aggression received from Europe to try to isolate Venezuela with the intention of aggravating the economic and social conditions of the Venezuelan People. The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela urges once again the French government not to interfere in the internal affairs through the evident subordination to the strategy of Washington against Venezuela, and invites them to respect the fundamental principles of the international law and the healthy cooperation among civilized countries.
