Venezuela expresses its strong rejection to the dangerous statements of the presidents of the USA and Brazil
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela hereby strongly rejects the dangerous statements by the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, and Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, of March 19th, 2019.
Listening two Heads of State, who are vested with international responsibilities of paramount significance, advocating war with intemperance, in flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter is rather grotesque.
It is somewhat worrisome the influence of U.S. warmongering discourse on Brazil and Donald Trump’s supremacist thesis on Jair Bolsonaro. Undoubtedly, the both presidents represent the most retrograde ideas for the peoples of the region, as well as for world peace and security.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounces this threat against international peace and security as it calls the peoples of the world to remain alert against the pretensions to let the Amazonian region be reached by extra-regional military powers.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will continue to work based on the international law so as to ensure Latin America and the Caribbean remain a zone of peace. No neo-fascist alliance shall defeat the independent and sovereign will of the Venezuelan people, nor will such alliance be successful in sowing hatred and warmongering strategies among the peoples of Our America.
