The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the People and the Bolivarian Government congratulates with joy and admiration the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Foundation of the People’s Republic of China, an event that opened the path to happiness of the noble Chinese people and a horizon of hope for humanity.
On October 1st, 1949, the brave and humble Chinese People, under the leadership of Great Helmsman Mao Zedong, with the drive and strength of the Communist Party of China and the People’s Liberation Army, began an era of great economic, social, cultural and scientific-technological transformations that have turned China into a great beneficial power for the world today.
Therefore, on this new anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, Venezuela deeply appreciates the cooperation in health matters, through which lives have been saved and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the country mitigated. Likewise, it ratifies its commitment to continue working hard within the framework of the Venezuela-China “Integral Strategic Partnership” of shared benefits, as well as to contribute to the consolidation of the CELAC-China Forum and to the promotion in Latin America and the Caribbean initiative of the Belt and Road for shared development.
Venezuela expresses its unwavering support to the principles of “One China” and “One country Two systems”, and its adherence to the Chinese proposal to build a Community of Shared Future for Humanity.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the exercise of Peace Diplomacy, will continue to work hand in hand with the brotherly People and the Government of the People’s Republic of China to put an end to the illegal unilateral coercive measures, in defense of International Law and inclusive multilateralism, to consolidate the multicentered and multipolar world of balance, cooperation and peace among nations.
