The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and the Government, extends his warmest congratulations to the Argentine people for the successful development of the democratic electoral day of today, Sunday, October 27th, 2019, while congratulating Elected President Alberto Fernandez and his running mate, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, for the resounding and indisputable victory achieved in the first round of the presidential elections.
It is a triumph that expresses the hope of the Argentine people to walk the path to rescue social justice, economic independence and political sovereignty in their country. The massive electoral participation strengthens the legitimacy of the election process and sends a clear message from the Argentine people in rejection of the imposition of the neoliberal economic criminal policies of the International Monetary Fund, imposed without clemency in recent years by the authorities in power.
By ratifying the recognition of the civic demonstration of Argentine democracy, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its hope to return to the path of relations of mutual respect, integral cooperation and joint work with the new authorities of that country, in order to assure the well-being of our Peoples and to strengthen the integration mechanisms of Latin America and the Caribbean.
