Government of Venezuela expresses its regret over vehicular accident occurred in Ecuador

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its most profound regret for the car accident in the Pifo-Papallacta motorway, Pichincha province–Ecuador; which has caused the death of 24 people so far; four Venezuelans among them. Furthermore, Ecuadorean official sources reported 22 injured people, 2 of them Venezuelan nationals. Our diplomatic mission in Ecuador is currently working in order to provide the required consular support to our brothers and sisters affected by this tragic event. We convey our most heartfelt condolences to the relatives and friends of the Venezuelan victims and of other nationalities as well, especially the brotherly Colombian people who suffered the greater loss of life in this regrettable event.
