ALBA-TCP celebrates the victory of Cuba against the economic, commercial and financial embargo from the United States
The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) congratulate the Cuban people and government for their overwhelming victory against the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the government of the United States of America (USA) against Cuba since 1962.
This new triumph of Cuba with the approval of the Resolution «Need to end the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba», reiterates a clear message of rejection – by the international community – against unilateral coercive measures which violate respect for Human Rights and International Law, and are contrary to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
Cuba and the free peoples of the world today have defeated the dilatory strategies of the North American Empire and have shown once again that the dignity and nobility of a solidary people are more powerful than the arrogance of the strength of an Empire.
