Héctor Constant presents Copies of Credentials as the new representative of Venezuela to the UN Geneva

The new permanent representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations based in Geneva, Switzerland, Héctor Constant Rosales, presented this Wednesday the Cabinet Letters that accredit him for this position before the general director of the multilateral instance, Tatiana Valovaya, and the World Trade Organization (WTO).

This was shared by the Venezuelan diplomat on his Twitter account @h_constant, in which he expressed his national pride in assuming this new responsibility, replacing Jorge Valero.

Constant conveyed to the representatives of multilateral organizations the fraternal greetings of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and reiterated the importance that Venezuela attaches to the strengthening of multilateralism and the need to advance towards compliance with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The occasion allowed to report on the upcoming election day on December 6. The Director General of the UN Geneva sent her greetings to President Nicolás Maduro and recognized the efforts of the Bolivarian Government to achieve the SDGs, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new Permanent Representative to the European headquarters of the UN has a degree in International Studies from the Central University of Venezuela, a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Simón Bolívar University and a PhD in Philosophy in Latin American Studies from the Sorbonne III University, France.
