Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, was received on Tuesday by the recently appointed Foreign Minister of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta, to launch a new phase of the bilateral alliance that has historically been marked by strong cooperation ties and mutual respect.
In the first official meeting held by the Bolivian foreign minister after he was appointed in November 9, they reviewed geopolitical and regional integration issues, as well as the agenda to resume comprehensive, bilateral cooperation projects

Also, the Venezuelan delegation formally requested consent for recently appointed Venezuelan Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Alexander Yánez.
The Venezuelan Government regained control of its Embassy in La Paz which was assaulted after the coup d’état against President Evo Morales by late 2019.
At the Venezuelan Embassy, Minister Arreaza affirmed that the relations between Venezuela and Bolivia will be upgraded to a new cooperation level.
“We are entering a new phase with Bolivia. As we recovered our Embassy, we will also resume our relation with Bolivia and all the economic, trade and political projects,” he stressed in a speech he gave to the media and members of different Bolivian social movements.
