President Maduro: ‘Simón Rodríguez still wanders the continent with creation of Samuel Robinson Institute’

President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted on Wednesday that Simón Rodríguez “still wanders the continent” thanks to the creation of the Samuel Robinson Institute, launched on the 251st anniversary of the birth of this Venezuelan thinker and pedagogue, who was Simón Bolívar’s mentor and one of the most important intellectual references of the South American nation.

On his Twitter account @NicolasMaduro, the Venezuelan president said that this institution will gather intellectuals and establish ties with the world’s main think tanks.

“It is a space for rescuing the Original Thought and the ideas pointing to the construction of a new world,” he posted.

The Samuel Robinson Institute was founded by a group of Venezuelan researchers interested in reflecting on the country’s future amid the global crisis of humanity. It invites to the mobilization of those “interested in putting their souls on the line for the world we need” by guiding a deep analysis of the organic keys of this historical moment from an approach based on Venezuelan ideas.

The Institute addresses the validity of Samuel Robinson’s theses on the development of original thought in the 21st century, and sets them up as a methodological perspective to develop research lines by focusing reflections on a diversity of fields ranging from geopolitical, international factors, hybrid war against Venezuela and essential elements for the construction of the Venezuelan political model.

By following Samuel Robinson’s scheme of reflection, the Institute’s fundamental premise is “the obligation to reflect on ourselves with originality and daring,” and, at the same time, “to build original institutions and thoughts.”

The Institute invites intellectuals to join its theoretical venture and draft academic, intellectual papers to enrich the debate and analysis of the Venezuelan future in the global context.

This think tank’s strategic lines of research include: memory, State, hybrid wars and new forms of war, political model, EEUU-Venezuela relation, modernity and civilization’s crisis, geopolitics and new multipolar order, imperialism, ideology and territory.

The Institute, based in Caracas, offers its web page web:https://isrobinson.org/, its Twitter, Facebook, Instagram accounts, as well as its YouTube channel, as the main platforms to propose the need of inventing new forms of reflection questioning the system that rules humanity today.
