Venezuela has denounced more than 90 times the participation of Colombia in violent acts

“President Nicolás Maduro has denounced on 92 occasions the presence of irregular elements, of factors of violence related to Colombian drug trafficking, related to paramilitarism, related to all the violent actions that the people of Venezuela have suffered in recent times.”

This was demonstrated by the Sector Vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, during statements offered from the Miraflores Palace, this Friday.

In reference to the recent statements by the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, who classified four Venezuelan deserters, implicated in the Gideon operation and captured in New Granada territory, as criminals financed by the Venezuelan government to destabilize Colombia, Rodríguez reiterated the complaints that, In this regard, the Bolivarian Government has been doing since 2017.

In this sense, he explained how Rayder Alexander Russo Marques confessed to the CNN news network, “in an interview that was made to him in Colombian territory more than a year ago, his participation, his role as coordinator in the attempted assassination perpetrated with drones against the President of the Republic (Nicolás Maduro) on August 4, 2018, or did you not see that, Mr. Iván Duque?” questioned Rodríguez, also revealing images of the audiovisual material broadcasted by the US channel.

It should be noted that the evidence and images shown by Rayder Alexander Russo -“alias Pico”- of the plans, training, weapons arsenal, addresses and locations were previously denounced publicly by spokesmen for the Bolivarian Government.

Before the capture of the four implicated in Colombia and “the level of self-confidence and impudence that Iván Duque and his government display”, he hypothetically raised whether this new accusation against Venezuela is part of a plot to hide “the relationship between his government and all the violent and paramilitaries against Venezuela”, or to make a fake detention of those involved before the Colombian justice for their subsequent release.

“We are going to be very attentive, Mr. Duque, because what you did was to guard your accomplices, your accomplices in the attempted assassination, your accomplices in the so-called Gideon operation, your accomplices, including Juan Guaidó, in the signing of the contract where, for the first time in the history of Venezuela, the possibility of assassinating the Head of State or assassinating Venezuelan leaders in exchange for a sum of money was established”, concluded the Vice-president.
