Sures Association publishes report on unilateral coercive measures from the EU against Venezuela

The Venezuelan civil association Sures, dedicated to the study, promotion, education and defense of human rights, recently published a special report where it addresses unilateral coercive measures applied by the European Union (EU) as a geopolitical entity or economic and political association made up of twenty-eight European countries, towards Venezuela.

For this, the report warns “it is important to keep in mind the relations of domination and colonialism that have characterized the actions of this blockade against other countries in the world, so this orientation does not escape the treatment they have had with Venezuela.”

Likewise, it highlights that within the European continent, the European Union is one of the groups that has implemented the most unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela, after the United States Government, with nine (9) measures issued from November 2017 to May 2020, followed by the United Kingdom with two (2) and one (1) by the Swiss Confederation, the latter two emulate the measures issued by the European Union.
