It is a pleasure to extend to you, and through you to the Venezuelan people, my most sincere congratulations and best wishes of lasting stability and greater progress and prosperity for your country on the occasion of the celebration of the Declaration of Independence Day.
There is no doubt that the Venezuelan people, who are now fighting a battle to defend the integrity, sovereignty and independent decision of their country under your leadership, are laying the foundations for a new National Day, which will be the backbone for the greater development of the country and the driving force to give the country the place it deserves.
