Venezuela will appeal decision of English court that seeks to strip gold deposited in the Bank of England

The Executive Vice-president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced this Thursday the new actions by the criminal network led by opposition deputy Juan Guaidó to appropriate the resources of the South American country abroad, following the decision of a first-class English court instance of denying access to President Nicolás Maduro to international gold reserves deposited in the Bank of England.

“We have always shown that it is a criminal organization, it is not about doing politics in the Venezuelan democratic system, it is about serving the interests of Washington and imperial centers in the world, in this case the United Kingdom”, she said. in statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

Vice-president Rodríguez highlighted that before that British court, Venezuela presented the evidence that discredits Guaidó as the country’s alleged interim president, but the European nation negotiates the gold of the Venezuelans in its territory.

The Vice-president of the South American country indicated that although they intend to steal the assets of Venezuelans, this Thursday the Central Bank of Venezuela instructed its legal team to make an immediate appeal of this “extravagant decision” by the English justice.

The People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela had already released a statement in which he announced the decision of the state financial entity to appeal the action.

“which constitutes an act of piracy that violates the law to the health and life of the Venezuelan people, by stripping them of the gold necessary to combat one of the worst pandemics that has plagued humanity, thus betting on the extermination of the Venezuelan population.”

In this sense, Vice-president Rodríguez indicated that President Nicolás Maduro, as Head of State and Government, requested that the organs of justice in Venezuela open an investigation against those involved in this theft of the resources of all Venezuelans.

Finally, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza was instructed to include these actions in the complaint filed by the nation before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
