Iran and Venezuela strengthen Bilateral Cooperation ties

In order to advance in the realization of the IX High Level Mixed Commission between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran; This Tuesday, the Vice-president and Minister of Planning and President of the Iran-Venezuela High Level Commission, Ricardo Menéndez held a meeting with the Most Excellent Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Venezuela, Hojjatollah Soltani, at the facilities of the People’s Power Ministry Planning.

Menéndez stressed that during this meeting the ties of the bilateral relationship between both nations were strengthened; making a balance of the different agreements in strategic areas such as energy, oil, binational trade, industry, defense, culture, education, among others.

Likewise, the Vice-president of Planning highlighted the gratitude of our country for the arrival of the five Iranian vessels (Fortune, Forest, Petunia, Faxon and Carnation) loaded with gasoline and additives, which set sail from the Iranian port of Bandar, on March 16, whose cooperation allowed the start of regularization for the fuel supply in our country.

These vessels gradually arrived, with the accompaniment of the Bolivian National Armed Forces (FANB) in territorial waters; despite unilateral coercive measures and threats imposed by the United States government.
