President Maduro ratifies willingness to receive compatriots who wish to return to Venezuela

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, ratified his willingness to receive compatriots who wish to return to Venezuela, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. He noted that the thousands of Venezuelans who return to the nation were deceived by the false offers of capitalism, savage and neoliberal; which only exploited and humiliated them as a result of the anti-Bolivarian xenophobia campaigns imposed by the international oligarchy. “We are waiting for the wave that comes from Peru (…) here they will have what was denied there (…) there will always be a humanist Bolivarian Government that will lend a hand to the Venezuelan family”, he emphasized. Since last March, more than 20 thousand Venezuelans have entered the country fleeing from xenophobia and mistreatment in countries of the region (Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Brazil) that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic have disowned their people and their health systems collapsed. As a result of the inaction of their rulers, hundreds of these compatriots were evicted from their places of residence and dismissed from their jobs, which led them to return to their homeland; where they have been incorporated into all the social protection systems implemented by the Bolivarian Government without distinction. In order to guarantee the containment of the proliferation of COVID-19 in Venezuela, these migrants are attended at border social control points, where they undergo a personalized screening test and, in turn, incorporate them into a quarantine phase, to later be taken to their home states.
