The Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Coronavirus (COVID-19) held a meeting on Thursday, April 16, via video conference with Venezuela’s regional authorities to strengthen preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus. At the Presidential Command Post in Miraflores Palace, Caracas, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez headed the virtual meeting to establish and coordinate further tactics to keep the curve flattened in Venezuela as part of the strategies implemented by the Venezuelan government to face the world’s humanitarian crisis. Such policy has enabled the South American country to flatten the curve through quarantine. Venezuela has done more than 250,000 tests and timely attended to those Venezuelans who have tested positive for COVID-19.
