Head of State urges control of Covid-19 outbreaks

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, demanded maximum alert to new cases of Covid-19 infection and to rule out possible sources of spread. The instruction responds to new cases of infection, which were a baker in Aragua state and five others belonging to a security company that provides its services to companies in the country. Also in this case, the Head of State, urged this security company to provide the names of the managers who opted for their services as this is of interest to cut the chain of virus spread. “It is a public health case. If it is necessary for the Attorney General –Tarek William Saab-, to take action in this case; but no name and no surname can be hidden”, he emphasized. The highest authority of the nation, stressed that the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) are being followed, to cut the foci that are sources of multiplication and transmission of the virus. “If we do not cut the foci as a source of transmission, we will not be able to go to the next step of pandemic control. We are from the containment to the breakdown of the transmission chains”, said the national president. He pointed out that the steps to overcome the pandemic are: containment, cutting of the transmission chain and control of the COVID-19 pandemic; in order to achieve the gradual normalization of national life. “Venezuela has managed to contain the pandemic by 95 percent and is making progress in cutting the transmission chain”, said the Dignitary. Finally, he congratulated the Venezuelan people for their example of discipline and national awareness. “I want to thank the people of Venezuela for complying with the quarantine and we must renew the quarantine every day in the family, in the community”, said the President.
