150 organizations around the world demand an immediate end to the economic blockade against Venezuela
More than 150 human rights organizations and social movements around the world in the face of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, demand the immediate cessation of the economic blockade against the people of Venezuela, which produces a serious and massive violation of their human rights.
The organizations point out that in the current scenario, the Covid-19 virus pandemic threatens the life and health of the population, which can be substantially increased by maintaining unilateral coercive measures, since they prevent the Venezuelan State from using its resources blocked by international private banks, which are estimated at more than 7,000,000,000.00 Euros, to prevent the spread of this virus and serve the population.
They point out as an example to the world, the international solidarity of the peoples and governments of Cuba, China and Russia, who have offered and provided the Venezuelan people and the entire world with medicines, supplies and health personnel to prevent and respond to this emergency.
Finally, in the face of the pandemic declared by the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the world, the US government is required to and to the European Union the immediate cessation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade against Venezuela, to favor the timely and efficient application of prevention and care mechanisms for the population.
