Delegation of South Africa confirms participation in International Tourism Fair of Venezuela

Authorities and professionals from the world tourism industry have gathered at the Venezuelan stand installed in the 40th edition of the International Tourism Fair of Spain (Fitur). The Venezuelan delegation, headed by the People’s Power Minister for Tourism and Foreign Trade (Mitcoex), Félix Plasencia, has confirmed the interest of visitors to invest in this Caribbean nation and to know the places that are now a reference in the world. Likewise, meetings have been held with representatives of the countries present to reaffirm ties of friendship. The Vice-minister of South Africa, Fish Mahlalela, met with Minister Plasencia and confirmed his participation in the International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (FitVen), which will take place in May in the state of La Guaira. In previous editions of FitVen, the delegation of South Africa has exhibited its cultural and tourist wealth. Likewise, agreements have been established for the reactivation of air and maritime interconnection. During the first two days of the Fitur, the Venezuelan stand has stood out for a large presence. From cultural groups in Spain, Venezuelans based in this European country, journalists, tour operators and businessmen have agreed to express the excellent treatment that the Minister of Tourism and his companions have personally provided. Mitcoex representatives have offered coffee, chocolate and rum tasting. Within the framework of the event, Minister Plasencia was recognized by the international thermal water group “Termatalia” with the Order of the Camino de Santiago, a distinction given to personalities in the world for their work in tourism.
