Vice-president of Planning meets with UN Secretary for Humanitarian Affairs
On Tuesday, the sector Vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting at the Casa Amarilla, in Caracas, with the Vice-secretary general of the United Nations Organization for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Marck Lowcock.
During the meeting, the authorities carried out a review of the different information systems in order to strengthen the capacities of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in this matter with the help of the international organization.
In this regard and with the intention of realizing these objectives, a work agenda for the coming months was proposed.
During his work visit to Venezuela, the Secretary General of the OCHA, Mark Lowcock, plans to meet with various political actors in the country; with representatives of non-governmental organizations and also of the diplomatic community, to learn first hand the truth about Venezuela and to verify the work done by the different UN agencies operating in the country.
It should be remembered that during the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, held in New York, United States, the Foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza, also held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary where he ratified the will of the Bolivarian Government to maintain the path of dialogue to consolidate national peace.
