Venezuela and Russia strengthen housing strategies

In order to mantain the strengthening of housing strategies, the People’s Power Minister for Habitat and Housing, Ildemaro Villarroel, held a meeting with his counterpart of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Yakuschev, in Moscow.

The information was released by the owner of the Habitat and Housing portfolio, through his official Twitter account.

Villaroel is in Russia to present the advances that Venezuela has in housing, during his participation in the World Meeting of Cities Day, which will be held in Yekaterinburg, a city located north of Russia.

In another message published in the aforementioned social network, the Venezuelan minister stressed that the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) agreed on a work agenda with Venezuela, in order to jointly advance in aspects related to Urban planning and development.

The holder of this portfolio and the Executive Director of the UN-Habitat Program, Maimunah Mohd Sharif, met in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia, on the occasion of World Cities Day.

Venezuela has been invited several times by this organization to discuss issues related to housing construction.

Minister Villarroel highlighted on this occasion the work undertaken by the National Executive in order to guarantee citizens decent housing, this being possible through the Gran Mision Vivienda Venezuela (GMVV), which is heading for the three million homes delivered.
