Dan Kovalik: Venezuela proves the US to be a symbol of liberation and revolutionary triumphs

During a forum organized in the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas, the American lawyer and writer, Dan Kovalik, presented his book “Plan to overthrow Venezuela”, which explains the violent actions of the United States against the homeland , with the aim of pressuring a regime change in the face of its intolerance before the achievements made by the Bolivarian Revolution. Within this context, Kovalik explained that the book indicates the propaganda campaign carried out by international media to stain the image of Venezuela, since the reality of the country is virtually unknown and they do not praise the progressive achievements that have been obtained thanks to the Bolivarian Government. In turn, he added that the United Nations prepared a report describing the level of vulnerability of the USA inhabitants, which made them be called the first country to initiate a process of development, “that is why they carry out this type of blockade towards nations like Venezuela, because thanks to Commander Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro, despite any situation, they have been able to guarantee protection to the people”. Venezuela and its democratic transparency In another order of ideas, the American writer congratulated the rector of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena for directing the best electoral system in the world, who has also had the opportunity to be an observer in old elections and to give firmness to transparency in each process. During the activity, Kovalik delivered one of his books in recognition of the work and career to the rector of the CNE. He said that the approach of what has happened in Venezuela with the US government is very important, since in the first years Hugo Chavez managed to establish contact with politicians such as the then president, Bill Clinton, in 1999, and then in the year 2000 with George Bush. However, in 2001, after the Venezuelan constitutional election, the Supreme Commander approved the first laws that develop the Constitution, which caused an immediate reaction from the US, since from this fact framed in the political and economic sovereignty of the country, was considered an unacceptable rebellion by the US elite, since it did not match within the framework of the capitalist system. The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic said that characters such as Donal Trump, Mike Pompeo, John Bolton and Mike Pence have adopted the Monroe Doctrine, an element framed within the principles woven around the founding of the United States. Finally, the editor of the web portal Mision Verdad, William Serafino, said that 2019 has been a positive year for the Bolivarian Revolution, which has transcended borders, breaking paradigms of a local policy. He pointed out that despite the strategic thoughts, the US has not been able to achieve its objective of overthrowing the National Executive, “because we are a country prepared in body and soul with the ideals of Bolívar and Chávez to defend our beloved land to the end”. It should be noted that this forum is framed in the international meeting of workers in solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution that is taking place in Caracas until August 31.
