World day against Trump will show strength of Venezuela

The president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, invited the Venezuelan people, social organizations and State institutions on Wednesday to join the initiative called by the Great Patriotic Pole to hold a world day of protest against the US president, Donald Trump, next August 10. “I join the call of the Great Patriotic Pole, the Bolivarian Congress of the Peoples and I make it mine, a great world day of protest against Donald Trump on Saturday, August 10. I join the convocation of the Venezuelan people, a thousand forms of protest in the world, on social networks and may the truth be known”, he said during the ceremony in commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Boyacá. From the National Pantheon, he urged to exhibit through our social networks “our dignity and strength (…) Let’s get together in a writing, a video, a documentary. We are going to do it for Venezuela”, he stressed. The initiative is part of the activities planned in rejection of the executive order issued last Monday by Trump, which seeks to formalize the blocking of all assets and properties of the Venezuela in the United States. Also, today’s afternoon, the Venezuelan people mobilized from Parque Carabobo, in the center of Caracas, to the National Pantheon, to condemn not only the recent decree but the brutal onslaught against Venezuelans since some years and which worsens every time.
