Foreign Minister Arreaza: Iván Duque promotes coup against Venezuela while Human Rights crisis worsens in Colombia
In response to the statements that the Colombian president, Iván Duque, gave to the Europa Press media in which he promotes a military coup in Venezuela, this Sunday through his Twitter account, @jaarreaza, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, considered that the Colombian president should deal with the crisis in Human Rights that is getting worse in his country. Since social leaders in Colombia are executed for defending their rights and those of the people.
“While Duque travels around the world to promote military coups in Venezuela, the crisis in Human Rights in Colombia is dramatically worsened. The war returns, assassination of social leaders and ex-combatants are almost daily, they produce more drugs and more poverty”, said the FM.

During this interview Iván Duque called on the Venezuelan military forces to stand next to Juan Guaidó. These statements confirm the actions of the Colombian government in the recent coup attempt in Venezuela on April 30.
In these same statements, Duque admitted that there is a “diplomatic siege” that Colombia and other South American nations are applying against Venezuela.
