Foreign Minister Arreaza: International financial institutions are coauthors of the criminal blockade

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, said on Friday that the international financial entities are accomplices of the illegal economic blockade that the administration of Donald Trump holds against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Foreign Minister Arreaza assured that international banks give up and interrupt all transactions and relations with Venezuela due to fear of future sanctions or reprisals by the US government, severely affecting the right to health and food of the Venezuelan people. “They are coauthors of the blockade and lie with cynicism. The sanctions of the USA generate an immediate reaction in the banking: the “overcompliance”. All transactions and relations with Venezuela are interrupted, affecting ALL areas, including health and food”, denounced the FM through his Twitter account @jarreaza.

The diplomat stressed that due to the refusal of these financial institutions, the Venezuelan government is unable to make payments for imports of medicines, food, treatments and medical supplies for the most vulnerable population and patients in serious condition.
