President Maduro holds meeting with director for Latin America and the Caribbean of the People’s Republic of China
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received on Thursday at the Miraflores Palace a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by the Director General of the Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Bentang
The bilateral meeting gave rise to an important dialogue between the parties during which, the international context and the integral cooperation agenda maintained by the two nations were analyzed.
The Director General of the Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China served as Ambassador of that country to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela until October 2017.
At that time, he received the Francisco de Miranda Order in its First Class granted by President Nicolás Maduro, in recognition of his successful diplomatic work in the country.
Caracas and Beijing have deepened and expanded, during the last years, their integral alliance of bilateral cooperation, under which hundreds of agreements have been signed in different areas for mutual benefit.
