- The FM of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, denounced through his Twitter account @jaarreaza, that the Secretary of State of the United States, Michael Pompeo, in recent declarations to the media La Voz de América admits that the sanctions implemented towards the Caribbean country, also affect the Venezuelan people.
statements took place last Friday, during an interview that the US Secretary offered during his visit to Mexico City.
‘He recognizes @SecPompeo: “The sanctions that we have launched not only against the country, which sometimes has an adverse impact on the VENEZUELAN PEOPLE, but also against the Venezuelan leadership”. The ‘sanctions’ are against the people,’ said the Venezuelan diplomat.
This highlights the interventionist policies of the United States, as well as its links with the OAS and the Lima Group, organizations attached to an international campaign of unilateral, arbitrary and illegal actions against Venezuela.
