Foreign Minister Arreaza holds a bilateral meeting with his Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel
The Minister of Foreign Re of the Algerian Republic, Abdelkader Messahel, met Thursday with the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, to strengthen bilateral and diplomatic relations between the two nations.
This meeting takes place in the framework of the 73rd session of the United Nations (UN) which this year commemorates the centenary of the birth of the South African leader, Nelson Mandela.
Venezuela and Algeria maintain diplomatic relations since 1971, which were strengthened with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the Government. Last July, President Nicolás Maduro, in his Lightning Tour, held a meeting with the president of the People’s National Assembly, strengthening bonds of friendship and brotherhood with the African nation.
