The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, arrived in the city of New York, United States, to fulfill a work agenda in the framework of the 73rd session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
The president arrived at the John F. Kennedy Airport, located in New York City, this Wednesday afternoon “to defend the truth of the venezuelan people”, he said.
“I come to the General Assembly of the United Nations to defend the truth of Venezuela, to bring the voice of our Homeland”, said the Head of State in his account on the social network Twitter @NicolasMaduro.
In addition, the National President added “I also come to receive the solidarity of the governments of the world, of the peoples. I come full of emotion, passion, truths, so that the whole world knows that Venezuela is standing, very strong, walking the 21st century in Revolution”.
The venezuelan President will participate in the UN General Assembly, in which global leaders present their proposals for the agenda that will mark shared responsibilities for the sustainable development of the coming years.
The approaches of the international community should focus on issues such as gender equity and equality, environmental action and the situation of migrants and refugees in the world.
