Foreign Minister Arreaza holds meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rohaní
In the framework of the 73rd Period of Sessions of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, the FM of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rohaní.
During his speech at the UN General Debate, Rohaní said that “those who seek dominance and hegemony are enemies of peace and perpetrators of war”.
He also criticized the idea that a country intends to ensure peace and security “through o the detriment of the peace and security of others,” in reference to the interventionist actions of the United States government, particularly against Venezuela and Iran.
That is why the meeting between the venezuelan Minister and the Iranian President are framed in the strengthening of multilateralism and the fight against imperialism and neocolonialism.
Last June, representatives of both countries reaffirmed the need for mutual cooperation to achieve the human development objectives of the socialist model implemented by the governments of Iran and Venezuela.
