Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia deemed the last HRM report on Venezuela as “pure mythomania,” affirming it is full of inaccuracies and fails to mention the harmful effects of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. government on the Bolivarian people.
“Mr. Vivanco leaves HRW by doing what he does best: manufacturing reports to please his financiers,” the Venezuelan foreign minister condemned on Thursday on his Twitter account @PlasenciaFelix.
Vivanco, a Chilean lawyer and executive director of HRW Americas Division, has maintained a systematic irresponsible stance aligned with Washington’s interests regarding Venezuela’s domestic affairs which has been rejected by the Bolivarian Government.
Two months ago, in the context of the regional, municipal elections held on November 21, 2021, Plasencia lambasted Vivanco’s irresponsibility and nerve for trying to destabilize the Venezuelan electoral process.
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said that Vivanco’s actions lack limits as he tried to create a false opinion on the elections held in the South American country.
