Venezuela and Bolivia strengthen relations within the framework of ALBA-TCP

In compliance with the guidelines issued by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, César Trómpiz, held a meeting with the Vice-president of this Andean nation, David Choquehuanca, in La Paz.

The purpose of the meeting held on Tuesday, December 14, was to strengthen the strategic cooperation ties between both countries within the framework of the membership they share in the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA -TCP), which this day celebrates its 17th anniversary with the XX Summit of Heads of State and Government, in the city of Havana, Cuba.

With the participation of Bolivian President Luis Arce, the XX Summit of the Alliance approved the 2022 Post-Pandemic Work Plan, which contemplates strategies for the economic re-impulse as a unionist bloc, with actions such as the reactivation of the technical tables of economy, trade and finance; strengthen the operational action of the leverage of Banco del ALBA and the relaunch of Pesca Alba, Agricultura Alba and PetroCaribe.
