The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived on Monday at the José Martí International Airport, Havana, Cuba, to participate in the 20th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).
The Venezuelan president recalled that 27 years ago commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro “gave each other the hug that founded this time of change we have experienced in the 21st century.”
President Maduro said that the ALBA-TCP Summit “is a summit of union, solidarity and brotherhood,” and assured that integration is an alliance to build the new world.
Also, the Venezuelan president highlighted that the ALBA countries succeeded in managing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in 2020 and 2021.
“Today, we are holding the first post-pandemic presidential summit to discuss an economic, social, political plan, and address the post-pandemic world again,” said President Maduro.
